Puerta del Sol has a poignant perspective on what happened in Madrid. I live in New York City and am constantly reminded every day of the horrors we suffered when we lost 3,000 of our friends and loved ones in a matter of hours. Now, another city I love, Madrid, has been reduced to tears and lost 200 of its souls. Everyone in New York is affected by what happened in Spain on 3/11 because we don't want anyone to suffer and feel hurt in the way that we did. I know that Madrid will make the world proud as yet another city will show that terrorism can never win. We are all Madrilenos today.
