THE CHENEY VS. GORE RUMOR

You heard it here first... Cheney v. Gore in 2008... Here's why...

Michelle Malkin highlights a speech given by Bob Woodward in which he surmises that Vice President Dick Cheney will run for president and win the Republican nomination in 2008. It's tantalizing for people to think about such a situation to occur especially if one believes that Cheney will face off against Hillary Clinton in the general election.

Even though Cheny insists he won't run, the speculation persists that he'll run (it's funny because many so-called journalist experts predicted that Cheney would bow out of last year's race right before the convention).

Liberals are most enchanted with the prospect of a Cheney candidacy. Why? They want to take down the "devil" himself, the man they most feel is responsible for 2 presidential terms of political angst. Liberals are incensed they lost 2004 and ascribe defeat to the "evil genius" who wields powers over Congressional Democrats like a high priest to voodoo dolls.

The rumor of a Cheney candidacy is Hillary's trump card. She wants to do to the Bush-Cheney legacy in 2008 exactly what she and her husband did to the Reagan-Bush legacy in 1992. It will be easy to camaign in favor of "change" over "more of the same."

Therefore, I will start a rumor that Al Gore is running for president in 2008. Even though Gore, like Cheney, says he'll never run for president, I'll use my Woodward-ian political acumen and say that he does. If the Democrats want to run against the vice president of a "failed, unpopular" administration, why can't the Republicans?

CRIME STATISTICS: BY STATE

This is interesting... Crime correlates according to geography, southern tier states have higher incidents of crime than do states in the north...
